Community Carol Singing

Join us on Wednesday 21st December at 7pm for some community singing and refreshments.

Local primary schools & others will be participating that evening. More details to follow.

Communion weekend services

The congregation will gather for a communion service on Sunday morning (20th November) at 11am.

We will have Rev Peter Humphries from Kinmylies Church of Scotland with us on Friday evening and Rev Calum Iain Macleod from Back, Isle of Lewis on Saturday and Sunday.

Christmas Celebration Schools Event

We are delighted that our local school children are to attend our “Christmas Celebration” event during the two weeks commencing 28th November and 5th December. Each session will be from 9.45am – 11.30am or 1.00pm – 2.45pm. Smithton, Cradlehall, Duncan Forbes and Balloch primary schools will all be joining us for that.

Os Guinness &#45 “Challenging The Darkness – Towards a new Christian renaissance”

The Solas Centre For Public Christianity (www.solas-cpc.org) have arranged an evening with the well known author and apologist Os Guinness at Smithton on 17 November at 7:30pm.

Os’s subject will be “Challenging The Darkness – Towards a new Christian renaissance”, in which he argues “for the vision of a new Christian renaissance that is faithful, hope-filled, and culture-shaping at the same time.”

Marsali Campbell &#45 10 years in Africa

Marsali Campbell arrived in Kampala, Uganda, on 20th September 2001 to start working as a nurse with Dwelling Places. Her recent newsletter looks back on those 10 years and remembers the challenges, changes and development of the work with street children.

Re-opening of Nairn Free Church building

Join us for an evening of celebration to mark the re-opening of the Nairn Free Church building on Friday 11th November at 7.30 pm. Rev David Meredith, of Smithton-Culloden & Nairn Free Church, will be the guest speaker.

The refurbishment project has involved the installation of a new heating system, the replacement of the pews with comfortable chairs, the fitting of a new kitchen and extensive painting and decorating. The result is a flexible space fit for the 21st century.
